| my goodness, it been awhile since i last updated. i dont know where to
begin. i started going back to school again. im planning on pursuing my
mba degree so i've been taking some pre-reqs to mba classes at mission
community college and studying for the GMAT for the winter placement.
it been pretty crazy going back to school again. although, im glad i
did it because it keeps me busy and occupied. it keeps my focus on
school and away from the party scene. i'm actually saving more money by
not going out and studying all the time. the reason im going back
school because i dont know how secure my job will be in the future
regarding this economy. in the meantime, im just working and going to
school at night and on weekends. it's very tiring. i've been drinking a
lot of energy drink just to stay up to study.

in other news, my friend richard and i started our own bartending
service called TIPSY (our motto: "service for a night you will
remember.") at first, our motto was, "service for a night you wont
forget" but we wanted to make it more of a positive note. we wanted to
show that we can be so professional and good that our customer will
always remember us. our main focus is on wedding and private parties.
so far, we did a couple of gigs here and there but i'll update you guys
on TIPSY in the next entry.
there wont be a workout log for this entry. i havent been working out
since i started school, working, studying and tipsy. however, there be
a workout log in the next entry. i can see my gut coming back again.
btw, she misses me, too! | | |
| dreams. i just had a dream about her and it felt so real. she was dating some new guy and he seem more local (which means, she has more time to see him) than the last guy. of course knowing me, i started talking to her about it. the argument on the phone seem so real. i totally picture her arguing with me, the way she did in my dream. however, we eventually came into terms and started talking normally. it just felt like old times again. she wasnt really feeling the new guy due to his lack of motivation in his career and his religious beliefs (weird, how Catholicism came into play. she wasnt a very church going-gal herself from what i remember).
here is where the dream got weird, her other ex starting asking me about the new guy. before, i use to give him advice on how to get over her. and now, he returning the favor by reversing the role on me. my phone starting beeping.
got a morning text and i woke up.

| awesome, game! im not much of a gamer but this game really blew me away. the graphics in this game is ridiculously crazy. the whole time, i felt like i was in the movie the entire time. the last time, i bought a system was during the super nintendo days. the only reason i bought the ps3, was for the blu-ray player and the price i got was such a deal (thank you, slickdeals.net...please refer to previous entires regarding this topic). but man, gaming has evolve! tahoe. my friends and i are planning on going to lake tahoe in the beginning of august. this will be my first time attending tahoe in the summer time. twenty vietnamese in one cabin, imagine that (yup, that's how we roll). ironically, majority of us dont know how to swim so i guess we'll just be looking at the lake the entire time. knowingly that vietnamese immigrant came here by boat, you figure they take extra precautions by taking swimming lesson and pass on their survival skills to their children (haha, i cant believe im stereotyping my own people). however, there is a casino half an hour away, so i guess we'll be there the entire trip.
pictures to come after the trip.
in the meantime, i've been working out in preparation for my tahoe trip. i cant be swimming with my tshirt on (if y'all know what im saying).

| white night. first off, i would like to congradulate the lovely couple, sheila songcuan and henji lim. the wedding was located up on the silver creek hill in san jose. it had a gorgeous view of the city and it was on the fourth of july so i didnt missed any fireworks because i had a view of them all.

sheila and i have been friend since back in our high school days. i am bless to have her still as my friend til this day. henji is one lucky guy to have sheila as a wonderful wife.
as for these cats, i cant believe we are still friends til this very day. also, i like to introduce some new members to the crew, gayle and linda. gayle and linda, i hope our friendship will endure just as long as my friendship with the group.
cindy and daryl, i heart you guys. i have a feeling you guys are next in line.
and finally, i have a picture with my dearest friend, annamay. she and i, also go way back in our high school days. there be more pictures of her to come in the nearby entries, because a few our group members arent married yet. and, y'all know who you are!?! step it up, ladies and gents!
make sure, there be an open bar for me because im gonna be the last man standing. i'll drink to that!
cheers, to the lovely couple! congratulation sheila and henji, this portion of the blog is dedicated to the both of you.
dark night. i'm always a strong believer in karma. i tried to do my best to cater to my friends. i believe if you treat your friends well and in return they'll treat you well. but then again, someone once told me their belief which is, "dont expect anything in return.
this past saturday made me want to change that belief. lately, i dont feel like my friends take me seriously. i admit, there are times i like to joke around a lot for them to think that way. sometimes, i wonder where i stand with them.
here is the incident, we decided to celebrate my boy's birthday at a club. i happen to get into the VIP line which got me into the club early. the birthday boy and one of my close friend waited in line decided to call me out to go to another club because they couldnt get into the club due to the long line (something about the security cutting the line off).
gullible that i am, decide to leave the club to meet up with them (not finishing my drink that i purchase). i found out, that they were still in line and there was no security cut off. so i ended up waiting in line again to attend the same damn club. and, pay a goddamn cover!
i know what y'all thinking, "it was a joke and a minor prank on me." the $15 dollar cover aint no big deal to me. i hate waiting in line, therefore i go early. but eventhough, that wasnt a big deal. but there was something about the whole ordeal that just bothers me. i just feel like i was being played for a fool and i really hate that. of course, the birthday boy and my close friend did apoligize for the incident and offer compensation for my cover and drinks. but how weird would that be to accept that.
i was so pissed that night that i kept on drinking. it was the worst night of my life. and now i realized, i have a serious drinking problem.
with this mind, i am not mad at my friends for their action and i hold no grudges. i'm just going to take this as a life lesson learned.
in the dark knight movie, there are things batman will not do that
violates his moral code. however, the joker was the complete opposite and he
doesnt live life by obeying certain rules. he does whatever he likes and whatever he thinks is right. therefore, im going to adapt both beliefs and fuse them into one.
new quote: "treat your friends well but dont expect anything in return." -tien

| my family from nebraska came to visit and so we decided to show them around san jose. our family outting consist of dave & busters, motif lounge, VIP lounge, lido nightclub, santana row, club vivid, etc.

V.I.P. the vip lounge was a lot different from most majority vietnamese sports bar. first off, it was a korean sports bar and the girls didnt wear any skimpy outfits. boo! other than that, the food was great and duh-licious. and, it was a better environment for our out of town guest.

lido. i havent been to lido for a long time. club lido is a half vietnamese/mexican club fuse into one club. one club to rule them all (haha, lord of the ring)! the viets upstair and mexican peeps downstairs. that night, i met some famous vietnamese singer including helen elena lopez and as for the other female singer, i dont know her name but i did get a picture with her so that's all that matters. it was my first time seeing helen's performance. (and, oh mah goodness, she sing in viet!?!) i cant even read viet and the only time i speak it...is when i am drunk or when im talking to my aunts and uncles.

about me: i been going through a tough time in my life right now. the only way i know how to handle it is by working out. a lot of my motivation is because of my personal issues with someone. im going to start keeping a log of my workout routine and update it for my personal and motivational purposes. for this week, my focus is chest, arms, shoulder and abs. (this gut gots to go!)
workout log:
- Lat Pulldown [60 lbs]
- Arm Curl [80 lbs]
- Lateral Row [45 lbs]
- Incline Press [50 lbs]
- Rowing [50 lbs]
- Rotary Torso [30 lbs]
- Pec & Delt [40 lbs]
- Chest Press [80 lbs]
- Abdominals [65 lbs]
these numbers will rise so just wait and see.
